Misty Farm Day

We’ve been busy with tagging the past two weekends. This is the earliest that we’ve had so many Christmas trees tagged already. I guess all the early holiday shopping ads have people worried!

Don’t worry, we still have plenty of trees. Come on out and tag now before the crowds arrive and while the weather is still nice! We’re open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM; other days by appointment. Just give us a call as 609-457-4691.

Santa Visits the Christmas Tree Farm

Many thanks to everyone who came out for our 2nd Annual Pictures with Santa last weekend. The weather was perfect and we used Red Rider as the backdrop.

Just a reminder that we are currently open for tagging on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Tag your Christmas tree early while the weather is still nice, and then you can call ahead so we can have your tree ready and waiting for you when you’re ready for it.

We’ll have wreaths and grave blankets ready starting Friday, November 29th.

Getting Ready – Measuring Stick is Set

It’s a busy time here on the Christmas tree farm!  Lots of things to do before we open up next weekend, in time for our Pictures with Santa event!

One thing folks like to do is take their annual picture in front of our measuring sign – it’s always fun to see how much the family has grown over the course of the year!

You can also tag a tree that day – tag early while the weather is nice. Then give us a call when you’re ready for the tree and we’ll have it ready for you!

More Snow

Today we’re having another little snowstorm, and NanNuk couldn’t be happier. This time of year is tough on him – not too many farm visitors!

We’re busy getting ready to pull out the stumps from all the trees that were cut last year, making room for new seedlings in the spring. These have been on order since last year, as they can be in short supply if you wait too long!

We captured this picture of the sunrise in the window of our building.

Rainy Day Parking

It’s a little rainy here this morning, but it’s warm – that doesn’t feel like Christmas!

If you’re coming today, please park somewhere in front of this fence. Our newest parking area (the area behind the wreath display fence) is pretty muddy right now, so please park in front of that fence or along the driveway. Those areas have a stone base and are very solid.

There should be plenty of parking along the entrance driveway and in front of the fence.

Cut to Order

Make sure to visit when you aren’t rushed for time – our trees are cut to order, so depending on the time of day and the number of people who were here before you, you might experience a wait.

Yesterday we had our busiest day ever, and from 11:30 onward folks experienced a longer wait than usual. We thank everyone for their patience, as our goal is to work as quickly as possible with safety as our #1 priority.

Snow Day

We’re in the middle of our second snow storm of the season here on the Christmas tree farm. The snow probably won’t last until morning, but it sure looks nice now.

NanNuk is having a blast – this is his weather!

Check-In

When you get to the Christmas tree farm, the first step is to check in at the little red building so you can pick up a tag, a marker, a map, and maybe even a measuring stick if you didn’t bring your own tape measure.

Here's our check-in location - it's also one of the spots that NanNuk likes to hang around.

Christmas Tree Farm Visit Tips

For some people, visiting a Christmas tree farm for the first time can be confusing.

What do we do? What’s it like there?

Here are a few tips for a fun Christmas tree farm experience:

  1. Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather – you’ll be outside for a while, and there’s nothing worse than getting halfway through your tree search and realizing you left your hat and mittens at home.
  2. It’s a good idea to wear sturdy walking shoes on the farm. Our farm is long and narrow, and if you walk all the way to the back in your search for the perfect tree, it could take you almost 10 minutes (it‘s good exercise ?).
  3. Make sure to visit when you aren’t rushed for time – our trees are cut to order, so depending on the time of day and the number of people who were here before you, you might experience a wait.
  4. Please make sure to keep your furry family members on a leash and be prepared to clean up any “presents” they might leave behind. ???
  5. Look for trees that don’t already have a tag on them. You can choose any tree you find out there as long as it doesn’t already have a tag on it. ?❄️❄️

If you’re here at a busy time and you’d like to come back a little later to pick up your tree, there are a ton of places close by where you can get a bite to eat, have a cup of hot chocolate, a glass of wine or beer, or do some shopping. We have maps of the downtown area and would be happy to give you a few suggestions – just ask!

That’s it for now – let us know if you have any other tips to add. ❄️?❄️??❄️?
